Bowl Instruments
The Suffolk Slider is a three-string slide instrument strung with banjo strings, producing a high EQ but heartful sound. Pyrographed symbols mark the notes of ‘the ‘fretboard’ & the instrument is tuned with guitar tuners.
The Piccolo Bowl is a variety of Bowl Harp (find more examples of this instrument on my YouTube) designed to be in the highest register whilst being a light and efficient carry to gigs.
The Slide Bowl is a variety of Suffolk Slider with 6 strings, aiming to reach a wider range of harmonic possibilities.
The Blues Stick
The Blues Stick is a single string blues instrument perfect for authentic recreation of traditional blues tunes.
The player discerns the location of notes by reference to the features of the custom-turned spindle, using a slide and picking the highest point of the string.
